India's 'Operation Dost' is underway in full swing in Turkey as the Indian Army pushes forward with search, rescue and relief operations. India has emerged as a quick responder to the devastation in Turkey and Syria after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the two countries on February 6. The Indian Army team has set up a field hospital in Turkey's Hatay which is fully functional with running medical, surgical and emergency wards. So far, India has sent six flights with search and rescue teams, dog squads, medicines and medical equipment. The death toll from the catastrophic earthquake has risen to over 17,500.
